I guess I'd say that I'd want to own the largest library in the world so I can share the world's knowledge with everyone!appearance what kind of clothing do you like best? I really like Hume skirts. It gives my tail plenty of room. But it makes digging difficult I guess. When I travel, I never leave home without my father's cloak.any defining physical traits? history mind telling me who your parents were? any siblings? Papa's name was Eli, Mama's is Dinah. I have an older brother named Zev too, but we won't mention him. He always picks on me.anyone else of importance in your life? Nope, not really. I guess the kind strangers who have given me the books I've collected are really important. Oh, and my pack! They're really important, too!now, tell me about your past. don't leave out any details! So I was born fifteen years ago in Greywald, I said that, right? I lived there with my Papa, Mama, and big brother, Zev. We were all pretty happy, well except when Zev picked on me, but that's to be expected. Papa gave me my first book. He found it when digging around a Hume settlement. I've studied from it for a very long time and take it everywhere with me. Could you tell? I know a lot about Humes because of this book! Mama taught me to read so I could enjoy it, and I have continued to enjoy reading to this day!So the day I got my Papa's cloak was a sad one... He gave it to me when we went out digging together because I was cold that day. We were up by Eirwyn Forest, so of course it was cold. Papa went up to see the forest and... I went home alone. He never came back. I don't know if he died then or if he's still alive somewhere... Since that day, I've always kept the book and cloak he gave me with me at all times, in remembrance of him. I made it my goal to learn everything I can. Because knowledge is power, or so Humes say, and knowledge might lead me to my Papa. out of character what's your name, sweetheart? Elena stared up at the sky above her, once again thinking of how wonderful it would be to fly. Would Ryan save her? Maybe. But he would probably focus on the woman at the cliff first. But if he would save her, would he make it in time? She closed her eyes and whispered, “Probably not...” The wind whipping around her swallowed her words.They were going to die. At least she had been able to make a friend in Lyeant before her death. Yes, they were friends. Maybe she was still upset with him, but she still thought they were friends. She hoped he would be okay against the woman. What a thought, of course he would be all right. But still... there had been enough death that day. What would he do after she died? He would not cry. He was too strong for that. She hoped he would at least mourn for her a little bit. Mourn for his lost friend. Think of her every so often. Miss her. These thoughts brought a smile to Elena's face. If she had to die, she could die happy. Even without having finished her research. Eden moved in her arms. Elena looked at her and smiled wider. She would not die alone either. She would go along with her best friend. And so she closed her eyes once more and accepted her fate. They were going to die. And so she waited. And waited. And waited... She dare not open her eyes. The researcher had it stuck in her head that if she looked, it would be just before she hit the ground. But she did not think they had gone that far up the mountain. She did not remember the cliff being so high up. Certainly they should have hit the ground by now, like the creatures before them. Pushing aside her fear, Elena cracked open one eye to see how far they still had to go. The ground was still such a far way away from the two. She felt like they had been falling forever. How had they not hit the ground? Or at least gotten close? She looked even closer at the ground. Was it... moving further away...? How was that possible? Eden continued to move in her arms. Forgetting that the wind would swallow up her words, Elena called to the Eevee, “It will be all right, Eden! I don't know what's going on, but everything will be all right!” She looked to her companion to give her a smile, but an expression of shock replaced her reassuring smile. Brown fur was now blue. The tan tufts around the creature's neck was now white, soft and fluffy like the clouds. The researcher finally noticed that the movement she had been feeling was the spinning of twin tails. They were keeping them in midair! But what had happened to...? Realization finally set in. “Eden! You evolved!! You're a Breezeon!!” Elena cried. “Bree~!” the Pokemon cried as it continued its labored ascent. “We have to hurry! We need to make sure that Ryan is okay!” She was sure Ryan would not need her help, but just in case, she wanted to be there. The researcher was so proud as she watched the Pokemon fly. She knew that Eden could do it. Finally, they made it to the cliff's edge once more. Eden flopped down on the ground, exhausted. Elena kneeled down next to her and stroked her now sky blue fur. She looked up at the scene. Ryan and the woman stared at each other, sizing each other up and waiting for their opponent's next move. “Ryan! We did it! Eden evolved!!” she called to her friend. She began to cry once more, happy tears this time. She looked to the woman's Absol and hoped that it would not attack them again. She was not sure if Eden had enough energy for a battle. |
